About

Alexandra (she/her) is a composer, arranger and pianist based in Meanjin/Brisbane, Australia. Her style is driven by emotive, lyrical melodies and cinematic qualities, and she often finds inspiration in nature and little moments in everyday life.

Most recently, Alexandra has been working with Omega Ensemble as one of their 2025 CoLAB composers. In 2024, she was the Emerging Composer-in-Residence with Camerata (Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra). Her works were performed during their annual Regional Tour and later during their residency at the Rockhampton Museum of Art. She was also a composer-in-residence for Queensland Youth Orchestras in 2023 and a composer fellow for the Vox Camerata Choral Collective Residency Programme in 2022.

Alexandra has composed works for a range of ensembles and instrumentations, including solo piano, chamber orchestra, symphony orchestra, wind symphony and SATB choir. Her compositions have been premiered and performed by Camerata (Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra), Brisbane Chamber Choir, Vox Llinette, Queensland Youth Orchestras, Pulse Chamber Orchestra and Sketch Ensemble, both in Australia and internationally.

In addition to chamber and orchestral works, she has composed the original scores for two short films, Game Over (2020) and Flying Solo (2021).

As a pianist, Alexandra performs regularly with Brisbane-based Cerulean Collective. She has also previously been a member of Sketch Ensemble, UQ Chorale and UQ Chamber Singers.

She holds a Bachelor of Music with Class I Honours and a Bachelor of Science (Physics) from The University of Queensland.
